Your posts give me light and hope in the pandemic. And you reminded me of something I hadn’t thought of in years. I saw Siouxsie and the Banshees open for Tori Amos in Philadelphia around 1988, the first time I had dared take a woman out in public.

Oh, please do write a book! I would love to read it.

Miss Lee’s 100th birthday celebration postponed.

I was thrilled to attend this tribute to her at Carnegie Hall back in 2003. It included performances by Rita Moreno and Debbie Harry. It was wonderful of course.

I mean, she takes a job in entertainment (her actual career) and she’s selling out or being an attention whore or something. She doesn’t take a job, she’s mooching off of poor old vulnerable Harry. Any job he takes it ‘cheapening the royal brand’.

I am literally in that exact same situation right now. 6 days ago, my husband kicked me out of our home, took my keys, threw my things out, and now I’m sleeping on my mother’s couch, jobless and homeless. I’d give anything to have the option to live out this divorce in a rental house in the Hamptons.

Happy birthday to Miss Peggy Lee. You and I have already discussed our mutual passion for Lee on this forum - thanks for the reminder of her centennial.

Love those dresses, and I can’t help but think they shed them pretty early in the show for something slinkier underneath. But straw boaters are an odd choice, no?

Thank you for always keeping it classy around here. ;)

Fascinating stuff. I’ve been there twice and never managed to take a tour. Both times were stop-ins during separate PCH road trips.  We weren’t there early enough in the day to simply hop on a tour.  It was super busy last time.

You mean which one you think is best. Btw, the answer is Peggy Lee, are you even kidding me? We’re talking about Fever here. I love Madonna but her versions sounds like half of her other songs, whereas Peggy Lee’s original is almost a genre unto itself. Dude, seriously, have some respect.

I saw a few days ago where someone said that you should write a book.  I think it sounds like it would have to be a series.  Yes, I would purchase all of them.

Since you name dropped Madonna - Madonna has her own version of Fever on the... Erotica?... album.

The best pool ever!!!

That’s as stupid as saying all poor people have good taste.

I’d bet cash money his favourite place to stay in Vegas is Caesar’s Palace.

yeah, one of my friends was notified last month by her landlord that he’d sold her unit and she’d need to be out by the end of June. In NYC, in the middle of a pandemic. She was on a month-to-month lease so she had no way to fight back, but luckily she found a new place and was able to take the financial hit despite

It looks like a Disney hotel. Which to some people might sound like a good thing, but to me just means fucking tacky.

So true. People (celebrities) can fuck off with that we are all in this together. Hardly. If we are, then invite me over to your pool.

Sorry to come to this two days after you published, but this link is broken now. No doubt some Republican operative offended by the diaper reference.
