I've noticed people using the word homeopathic to describe anything vaguely holistic-natural-remedy-ish. No. Homeopathy is a very specific thing. A very specific, very bullshit thing.

"As in most homeopathic style medicine..."

My mom forgot to buy me dolls. I had a brother first, and we didn't have a ton of money. So I played with whatever he had plus an American Girl doll that she bought me after someone mentioned "Wait, does your daughter have any dolls?" when I was already seven years old.

Brainwashed would be my assessment. The body of that doll is not even close to looking overweight, and that's the point, it's trying to combat the idea that Barbie = average and actually average = fat. Even if she were fat, I don't see how having more body representations out there for children to identify with as a

He-Man wasn't presented to us as boys as what we should want to grow up to be as men. Barbie is to girls so it's a step in the right direction that they make her at least physically resemble what an actual woman looks like.

"You didn't need those toes."

"Bring me the catnip and I shall delay barfing on your flip flops."

My sister and I smoked cigarettes too at first, and my brother does now, so I'm not sure if the research you're referring to addresses the fact that people use them to wean off cigarettes then off e-cigarettes. I'm sure it varies in terms of how long and some people will do both (though I don't consider that "abuse"

Agreed that these findings would suggest that bystander-intervention would be helpful, but man, I'm wondering how effective it's going to be to ask bartenders to take on that role. When I was a bartender, I felt like I never had two seconds to breathe on a Friday night, let alone police the rest of the bar. Maybe

Now playing

this is like that episode of "What would you do" where they had a girl fake being drunk, and an actor who was going to fake trying to pick her up, to see if anyone would intervene, but they couldn't carry out the experiment, because someone not involved with the show would always try to pick her up before the actor

So in other words, alcohol doesn't create new personality tendencies. In some people, it amplifies those tendencies that are typically hidden or surpressed. An asshole is often more likely to be more of an asshole after drinking.

What he's saying is "sports participation also strongly correlates with self-esteem."

Well, statistics have also showed that sports participation also strongly correlates with self-esteem.

Guess What!

I am in love with the fact that Joyce Carol Oates is on Twitter.

I still think that box of Samoas was great in Winter's Bone.
