The weight of the steering is reprogrammable with VCDS (some dealers will do it to) and it completely changes the feel of the car. I have switched heavy steering of a TT and it transformed the car.

WAIT: LATER E60 M5s CAME WITH THE SEVEN SPEED M-DCT. EARLIER ONES HAD THE 6SPD SCT. ALSO A 6 speed manual
