Sega and Gearbox are behind Aliens: Colonial Marines. There might be another team developing the Wii U version, but I can't really remember. As far as I know, they haven't handed over rights to Ubisoft.

I think you're just overwhelmed that they plan on doing a new trilogy and spin offs. We haven't seen a new Star Wars in almost seven years. I'd count Clone Wars but it was essentially just a collection of episodes presented like a film and it kinda sucked (but the TV series is AWESOME).
