Maybe. Probably not. 100% of the money going to rent is simply gone. It’s not yours anymore. The majority of the money going to mortgage payments is still yours, it’s just going into ownership of the house. I would bet that the majority of the time the value proposition works out in favor of owning a home.

It’s less that business is sacrosanct, and more that this fight is pointless and meaningless and definitely not worth losing any sleep or business over.

Why make a stand? Why embroil yourself in controversy over a nothingburger? Are you sure that the majority of his fans would see it positively? Have you done the studies, the focus groups and the surveys?
