Honorable Mention: Nethack. Playable on ANY computer, and still fun to this day. I load it up every few years and play it for a while.

I concur with this as a general rule. I try to not add people to Facebook friendshipness without either being actual friends (not just “friendly”), or some desire to maintain contact in the Facebook-way for some specific reason.

Well, this is easy:

Came to the comments exactly to make sure someone mentioned this. I’m not even a writer, and I usually hate podcasts (I have tried many, and just can’t get into them), but I enjoy Writing Excuses.

Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), those battery backups for computers, also use lead acid batteries, almost always. Many people use NiMH for children’s toys, remote controls, and other things that call for AA and AAA size cells. Also, there are still personal grooming devices, such as shavers and trimmers, which

I happened to be at Ikea today, after having read this post & watched the Eargle’s YouTube video last night, so I decided to take a gander at the battery options. The attached photo shows what I found. In short: all the NiMH batteries at the Burbank Ikea were “Made in Japan”, none had China on them.

I see a lot of people griping and otherwise negatively reacting to your opinion - whatever, that’s their opinion, and you have yours, and it’s all fine. I think people often forget that opinions are a personal matter anyway.

I didn’t notice that I duplicated your nominee due to the image insertion problem. I’ve vote for yours, but left mine up, as I was able to get an image loaded, and that might help get more votes for this under appreciated product. Found that if I used the URL it worked.

It’s mentioned. You know that, right? You did read the written words beyond the title and maybe a few skimmed here-and-there, right? Of course you did, because nobody would comment and put themselves in a position to look foolish by commenting on a thing without knowing the content being discussed. Certainly not.

Well, that’s just silly. Also, if true, unsuccessful. My inquiry was not attached to any emotion, you see, but purely motivated by curiosity. Feel free to try and troll again, if you feel so inclined. Best of luck.

This was not—schwifty? Is that the right thing? I still need to binge this show sometime.

AIM was one of only two (that I can remember) IM platforms that allowed for in-line text changes like italics and bold for only the words you wanted that way. I’ve missed that when using other platforms ever since AIM was effectively killed (supplanted, I know) by things like Facebook IM and SMS.

Holy *#@& there are a lot of compilation books on the list this month!

An additional thing that was fixed, but perhaps I’m the only person who even knew it was broken: I don’t know what exactly, but something in the way audio files are treated. Specifically audiobooks.

I feel the same way about how the trailers for Thor 3 gives away a big green encounter. I knew he was in the movie, and I knew roughly the scenario. What I DIDN’T know was the exact encounter between the two Avengers. Even plugging my ears, I couldn’t not-hear Thor’s reaction when the trailer ran while I was at the

Yes, indeed it is. And now I hate myself, just a little bit. Every stink’n time, almost. It’s one of those words my fingers and brain just refuse to spell right. Thank you for reminding/catching me!

Well, for me, they’re loosing.
