Trolls are gonna troll, and people who want to find fault will find it. One nice thing in Doc’s favor that no words or criticism will change, though:

One of my favorite memories of an enemy encounter happened back in the 90s, with Half Life. Specifically, the soldier squads that you encounter. They shoot at you, they throw grenades to either kill you or make you hide, then they come up after the grenades to assault you in your hidey hole.
Wait... did he say “eat-ed?” As in, past tense of “eat” as in “eaten?” Or are my ears just bad. I listened to it several times, still sounds like “eated” to me.
I’ve seen that movie! The Maze Runner. Except the kids come UP the ventilation shaft.
Audiobooks FTW, here. I do like a few songs here and there, now and then, but I get bored with the radio or a CD or whatever else very quickly. So, been using audiobooks instead about 80% or more of the time for many years now. Good thing my brother shares his library with me!
Ya know, I liked Dune. I even liked the first sequel. And then I read Children of Dune (I think that’s the third one. I’m sometimes bad with names.) I enjoyed the third Dune book right up until about halfway through it. Not going to give any detailed spoilers, in case there’s someone planning to read it who reads…
No problem! I went on this quest back in 2012, when I first wanted to start using a smartphone. This is where I landed, and I figured I’d give a few notes that others might be able to use as they search. We didn’t initially plan on having a corporate account, for example. But we have more people than fit on a family…
I asked the guy who runs the server I use, here’s what he said:
My family is large, so we’ve taken advantage of it, when it comes to cell phones. We have two plans from T-Mobile with several people on them: a corporate account, and a regular family plan.
The Plex server I access is run on Linux, though I forget which distro. I’ll see what I can find out for you, but if I recall, the drive/partition/folder where the media is stored might be set up in a way that it doesn’t track file ownership. That’s a guess from a very vague recollection of a conversation I once had,…

So, 1 apple x 1 meter = one joule of work. Got it. ... How heavy is an apple?
Switched to iOS for my first immersive experience (vs. random mini encounters with iOS on other peoples’ phones) last year when the 6s came out. Found out all of these, except for the Mail gestures (I don’t use that app) and not the particulars of 11 (though I’d heard it existed) mostly just through random chance -…
All valid points, and I was not present for the entire setup and preparation, just the time of the incident and a couple minutes of the pre-flight, so I cannot give a full play by play. It did have a GPS lock, and the location was somewhat remote from power and other infrastructure. We were up in the mountains near a…
I was standing right next to a drone pilot, a DJI but not sure which model (this was 2014). He had just set the GPS return point, and completed a few safety take off and landing drills. I was watching his hands because I hadn’t worked with a DJI before and was curious. He took the drone up about 15 feet, and just…
As for the network discrepancy, I knew that, which is why I said it was canceled in favor of “things like” The Good Place. I chose my words carefully, and was trying to indicate that I was implying a show comparison and nothing more. The cost, well, it was expensive, but if it had gotten better viewership, they would…
Shows like Galavant, the most fun ever while being campy and hilarious, were killed in favor of things like “The Good Place.” I’m not happy with that. I watched the trailer for TGP and just don’t care at all for it.
If you don’t want to spend a lot on knives, but still want good ones, then go to your local restaurant supply store and get some foodservice type knives made by a variety of companies (Dexter, Mundial, etc.). They’ve got good angles on the blades, decently shaped handles (usually), and the right kind of serrations. At…
First, no. Just look at the stillframe used for the video in its unplayed state. They didn’t even test offset blades at all, it seems.
Homeless people. I bet most of them don’t have refrigerators.
