I BEG for transit or affordable housing near the city. In my situation, work is behind Dulles Airport and I wouldn't want to live there. Option of choice is interviewing for a job in the city where I would be able to live where I do now and get out of my car. Fingers crossed!
Good news is that I have XM so I get to listen to Electric Area, NPR, Alt-Nation, BPM and even the Bollywood Channel.
70 minute commute each way, to a desk job. Yes, it is killing me. I managed to get to work from home 2 days a week, but in this day and age, it makes no sense in my particular job to commute at all. I look longingly at the commuter bus at my corner but my commute is one suburb to the other, no transit option.
