This is more than a slave narrative. I think of Nat Turner and stories like his as the ANTI-slave narrative. He was one who chose to fight back in order to try and make change. He is part of why we are where we are today. I am so appreciative that this story is being told; so many people only know of the slave story…

I’m happy for nate parker truly. And nat turner’s rebellion is not something that gets taught in schools so this is important. With that being said. Not surprising.
