Soon as I figure out the best way to fit my 13ft kayak in there, you can have my money.

Darren, will there be an S7-Active?

If they can do this, we’re one step closer to realizing the “Flying Sub” from Voyage to the Bottom of the Ocean:

As a kayaker, I approve. As a driving enthusiast, no manual = no deal, you would probably need to row your own gears (no pun intended) just to maximize that tiny engine.

Bwahahahaha!

WIN.
Build it Acura, I double-dare you.

SECONDED!

meh, either way, I don’t need that crap.

I’m an average joe who kayaks on the weekends and commutes a fair bit during the week. I agree that this thing looks like all the truck I need. But I have some concerns:

Amen for that at least!

Does it come with a manual option, and is it a Toyota after-thought or does it feel like a genuine Mazda 6spd?

good question, but since its direct injection I’m willing to bet its not totally unusable under 4000rpm

Me too. I want waterproof, GPS, and HR but not at $600 :-(

Nice! now if only they could figure out a way to convince over-protective wives to let their husbands get in on the 2-wheels-good bandwagon...

I just got a decent deal on an R9 380 2gb... yesterday. If I had seen this article, I might have saved my money and waited till next year to buy something with more power and more memory.

I have used the sandpaper trick for two scenarios:

Well, I live here, but I don’t care much for Miami beach. I do love the fishing though!

Right on. I used to live in Los Angeles and had an even more anemic Toyota Matrix and when I drove over the mountains into Nevada once I did notice a significant loss of power. Turbo definitely makes up for altitude, so the advantage goes to the likes of Audi/VW and the turbo Subarus.

Do you live in Colorado? Just curious, because you make valid points and it is interesting how the conditions you state can be very commonplace for one location (and a detriment to this car), but a non-issue for another state.
For example; I live in Florida where there are no significant elevation changes, and the

yeah, if you like your cars so hot they spontaneously combust :-x
