Had one of these but then dropped it in a moving accident. Replaced with almost the same model, but went for the bigger one with metal carafe; good investment.
I'm with you on the simple coffee maker; but i may disagree on simply going with sale/convenience coffee. The biggest difference in coffee experience IMO is in the selection of the coffee itself, not the vessel made to brew it.
