“Four? You’re two years too late for your kid to make it to the varsity squad, lady!”
The most amazing part of the Kevin Smith story? That he only ate ~$15 worth of food. Zing!
In my defense, my original commend did say “most households that I know”. Not “every household everywhere”.
That’s awesome that your mom was the handy one.
To your latter question: I really have no idea why. I’m not saying *all* the guys I know how to do this (nor that all women are clueless... my next door neighbour, who became a great friend over the years, owned a contracting company and she’s forgotten way more than I’ll every know).
Eh, maybe it’s just my wife :) I once asked for a chisel and she brought me a flat-head screwdriver. She cares not to learn the difference.

Slowing down when being tailgated is taught in driver’s ed. I use it all the time; a car gets on my rear, I lay off the gas for a few seconds. I accelerate back to my previous speed and presto: a gap appears!
That, plus the $100M they raised.
Well, I guess we know who WON’T be sending their child to the Milford Academy.
“Ma, you need to go to Costco again!”
What a jerk.
