Soooooo, basically the same reasons that there isn't a decent Cuban rowing team?

Preaching to the choir. I've been finding really crazy ones lately. Does that count?
Ah, crap. It worked when I posted it. Anyway the pic was a 1980 Thunderbird. The most hideous year of an otherwise nice car.
Another vote for 1980.
Seconded.
No. The Windstar was the van that had all the issues. I've never owned a Caravan (Dodge got the last money it will ever see from me many years ago). I've owned two Aerostars. Ugly as heck but dead reliable. Both sold with well over 200K on the original engines and transmissions.
Why didn't you turn?!?!?!?
Mine was sold in disgust after the 2nd transmission took a dump at 79K (and I babied that van). I got to miss the rear end issues. They also had HVAC, intake, and electrical issues. This thing was a horrible, horrible shock after the bullet proof Aerostar it replaced.
My favorite 'feature'? That little truck had an 11.5 gallon fuel tank. Only the 4 bangers were so equipped. Talk about useless on long trips. Stop every 150-200 miles for gas.
Oh, God. I owned a ''96 Dakota Sport. 2.5L gutless four cylinder with a five speed. Horrible truck. As a bonus it hardly ever went a month without a visit to the mechanic for something too involved for me to do in the driveway.
There was also a Caravan sport. What you did was raced the two models. Whichever van dropped the transmission first lost.
Glad I haven't had breakfast yet.
Hot pursuit...
Ah, so YOU wound up with my old rust-bucket T-Bird. I swear that car could hook itself to the damn tow truck...
Here, this will make you feel better. A real GTO...
If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face — for ever.
OOoooooo. I see a 24 hours of lemons entry!
Having a car just hover there beside you makes the trucker nervous in the daytime (at night I can see headlights). Too easy to lose a car in your blind spots.
With those at least there ARE memories. Tequila is fun for "Where am I and what the heck did I do last night?".
