Tucker Torpedo
Tucker Torpedo
My mother bought one (blew my mind) and I wound up driving it over Thanksgiving. Really, really reminded me of the Mazda3 in driving experience. Not a bad car, unless you have a large frame. Overall I was pretty impressed with the little car.
The funny thing is these idiots don't know when they're out-sized. I used to see 'em driving like asshats around my 18 wheeler all the time.
The pick up owner would have beat him to death. :)
Cool truck. The price is nuts, but cool truck.
Two words: Pontiac Fiero. Yes, it is possible. Not sure if I'd call the experience fun...
Nothing wrong with that. I used to own a Regal Gran Sport with the 3.8. It got something in the area of 28mpg. Not bad for a larger car.
Useless trivia of the day. Most tractor trailers have a lever in the cab specifically for testing the trailer brakes at low speeds. It will engage the trailer brakes without activating the tractor's brakes. This is so you know your trailer brakes work, if you slam on the brakes at speed and they don't you're going to…
No, they will. You see the four wheelers coming up to do this stuff. Also, unless you've literally got the nose of your car under my DOT bumper, you're not really doing anything useful. At that spacing the driver of the four wheeler will have an accident if the trucker so much as taps his brakes.
Stunning car.
Also annoys truckers. Some of whom will do nasty things to make you stop it.
Oooohhhh. Sounds like a good challenge on one of those idiotic reality shows.
Aka: People Eating Tasty Animals.
Win. Thank you.

The intake is another weak point sure to provide a fun filled weekend. Great cars otherwise.
Gah, don't remind me. I've pretty well decided that, if it has a blue oval and powers the front wheels, just avoid it.
Try some of the old land barges. I had a '72 Coupe DeVille that seriously wanted to try to break your ankles with the doors. They had to be in the neighborhood of 100 pounds each.
Damn you Nibbles!
Rear electronically controlled suspension on DeVilles and Fleetwoods. God-awful expensive to fix when it starts going bad. Unlike Lincolns of the same era there is no conversion kit for it.
