I'd never heard of this. Thank you, good article.
@Twonius: True. The Jeep Cherokee and the Comanche sold here, they were uni-bodies.
@tempesjo: Or parade around the Mazda driver with an iPhone lodged up his...
@I love me some cleavage: My company added a 2008 Ranger to the fleet to replace a beat up 2001 S-10.
@SynthOno: Great.
These are even worse.
Apparently this is an issue with busses as well. A friend who worked as a mechanic for MARTA gripped about rats chewing wiring in busses that sat for awhile.
@tommynauw: Very true
Brilliant.
@A.Jaswal: I saw a guy eating a freakin' bowl of cereal yesterday morning.
Amusing article, I got a good laugh out of it. I think some people are missing the tongue in cheek satire.
@AlienProbe: The idea of making bio-fuel is a good one. We just shouldn't use a primary food crop to do it. I'm still convinced some senator from Iowa had a picture of Bush with a goat or something to get E85 greenlit.
@ppiddy: Back when Prii still qualified for all the tax breaks the company I worked for bought six of them as company cars. Between claiming the depreciation and the green tax break they were damn near free.
Favorite so far.
Entertaining. I've owned 2 Escorts and a Fiero. I guess I qualify as a beater enthusiast.
@TheAntiCat: Just don't wreck in the thing. I turned one into modern freakin' art several years ago. I still can't believe I walked away from that. I wish I had a picture of the car. Looked like a crushed beer can...and still ran.
I occasionally post junkyard pics in oppositelock. My, oh my, do I feel unworthy. :)
@irishelement: When a car gets past a certain age you're just rolling dice. Doesn't matter who made it. I got rid of a Camry a couple of months ago that broke down constantly.
