@Ford Tempo Fanatic: True, ever so true. I ended a relationship with a wallet draining Toyota Camry wagon a couple of months ago.

@CABEZAGRANDE: I was the same way with Aerostars. You hear a lot of horror stories about those vans. Both of the ones we've had were indestructible tanks.

@chucky2jimmy: Strange isn't it? And those vehicles that drive us the most insane ('83 T-Bird for me) are the ones we remember fondly when they're gone.

@rustyoljeep97: Just Empty Every Pocket. Former XJ owner...

Tucker Torpedo.

@TheAntiCat: You would have LOVED the '79 Firebird my brother had for a few years. He was single and making great money. He took a beater 'bird and dumped stupid amounts of go fast parts into it. And left the outside alone. Faded, peeling paint, rust, the blue screaming chicken on the hood missing pieces, etc... That

@Timg555: I doubt it would fit, but I'd pay decent money to see the result run if it did.

@K5ING: You're expecting a bit much from the driving public...

@outdoorplaces: State Farm is such a God-awful PITA to deal with on claims. He just needs to hire a lawyer and wait a couple of years for a settlement.

@Kuro: Oh, is that why? I was starting to think that there was a persistent rumor going around that you got an extra $200 at trade in if it had never been used. Thanks. :)

@Riff-Raff: When I drove truck I'd give the trailer brake test lever a quick tap. The idiot in the 4 wheeler sees the trailer wheels lock and smoke, but the rig doesn't loose any forward momentum. They'd generally back way the hell off or pass after that.

@Ben Wojdyla: Thank you. I was waiting to see if anyone pointed that out. Yes, a bare bones stripper Jeep would be popular with a handful of people...who would wait three years and buy it used anyway.

@grubish2: Sure, that car ran once or twice a week. Only car I've owned that pretty well knew how to put itself on jackstands.

4.6L Cadillac Northstar. Why get a reliable engine? This is project car HELL after all.

@KAR120C: Yeah, and my old XJ always seemed to know when I'd just gotten paid...

The trick here is noticing that there is, in fact, a car in the commercial.
