“The C.D.C. guidelines, I’d also note, say ‘recommended,’ but not required,”

That’s why. Its value isn’t skyrocketing, because Porsche ‘purists’ (e.g. the ones throwing money at everything with a aircooled flat-6 on the rear axle) still deem it inferior.

How about getting rid of the XC60..preferably by selling off some parts and scrapping the remainder? Use the extended budget for either getting a daily beater or to fix the one of his remaining cars, which is easiest to overhaul.

Not only to make you uncomfortable - but to offend you. That’s their thing....since they can’t shine because of actual achievements, they want to feel big through antagonizing everybody different. It goes so well with an inflated sense of self pity.

That’s of course also an important factor....regarding the Ibiza: Porsche had a hand in the development of that thing.

Nothing better than a 70 year sales contract with the state.

Yes, the Favorit was launched in the late 80s...and apparently this car was the reason, why VW took over Skoda, as VW deemed the Favorit a good addition to their portfolio to have a car below the Golf for their newly emerging markets in southern and eastern Europe.

I’ve always loved this little Skoda pickup too. A pre-Volkswagen model, these (along with that Peugeot above) used to be pretty popular in Israel.

I like this kind of cars. They don’t scream ‘I AM RICH’ or ‘L@@K @ ME’. They just discreetly hand you a business card, which in the most subtle font reads ‘enthusiast’.

I am somewhat sure that this was a deliberately premediated PR stunt of this guy.

I am pretty sure the next step will be torchlight marches with a side of ‘Hitler did a lot of things right’.

The title says legendary engines. Not best in general or most powerful, least fuel-consuming, best-sounding, most-tuneable, most-refined or well developed.

I’d guess the typical customer for this wouldn’t even notice if he was sitting in a normal 2016 -S-class instead of this. Incidently such an entire S-Class wouldn’t cost much more than this option alone.

Thanks. That’s what I needed after nightshift.....another addictive topic on youtube. I should have gone to bed 5 hours ago.

That Chrysler 150 looks like a Hot Wheels version of a last-gen Mercedes C/e-class. And the Prius must be Elon Musk`s fever dream.

The front number plate was an afterthought on EVERY new Alfa since the late nineties as they all had bigger Scudettos (the shield shaped grille) than their predecessors.

“Whether it was my privileged position and perspective that caused me to be perceived as insensitive or inappropriate at times or whether it was just my immaturity and me just being unnecessarily difficult, I apologize for my behavior and for any pain which I have caused,” she added. “We all can grow and change

This strongly reminds me massively of the Frua-designed Glas 1600GT.

“My son has taught me to love monetize completely and unconditionally,” she wrote in that post, “regardless of circumstances and without exceptions.”

I’d take four of them and stuff them into every corner of an Oldsmobile Delta 88 Diesel...200 Kilogramms of engines plus 600-odd Kilogramms for a 100kWh Tesla battery pack plus controller and wiring. That’d be around maybe a ton  compared to the entire drivetrain (engine, gearbox, driveshaft....) of the Olds.
