+1 on Chernobyl. Completely avoidable and caused by human error. Anyone who questions this needs to Google image search the birth defects that affected the citizens of Belarus.
For starters, the Corvette is a terrible example as there aren't nearly as many donor cars that are worth less than the cost of a replacement engine...
Clearly not a BMW owner... :P
That's ignorant. This isn't the 70s or 80s where modern small block Chevys were cast iron. The LS-series motors use aluminum blocks and aluminum heads and weigh less than a naturally aspirated 20B rotary, which before I pointed this out I am sure you would be perfectly okay with swapping into an RX-8...
Have you ever driven an RX-8? The lightweight chassis and brakes are incredible - humbling its noticeably more expensive contemporary - the 350Z. From a driving standpoint, a Camaro or G8 are no substitute.
My thoughts exactly. $21k would be reasonable for a cherry 951, but for a 944... CP. That's reasonably maintained 911/964/996 territory for a patient buyer.
That's 50 horsepower less than a BRZ, and we know how ungodly slow they are. :P
Intentionally bad, but I saw 21 Jump Street last weekend and enjoyed the chase scene:
tiff needell is the voice of middle aged women... :)
My first car was a Ford Festiva with like 60 horsepower. The fact that now-a-days people complain that 200 horsepower is pathetically slow is mind blowing to me.
You realize "only" 300lbs is more than 10% of the car, right?
