Especially a Subi with snow tires. We had a first gen Forester with winter tires for a winter beater (we live in a very hilly neighborhood north of SLC) and it was a tank. I’d take it over my Taco w/BFGs (not perfect but 3PMSF rated) 10 out of 10 times when it would get really nasty.

Absolutely agree with you and KCyclone. In stock trim, something looks “missing” without the side cladding. Add some aftermarket bumpers (I know these can be a touchy subject, I’m speaking of aesthetics only) and the no-cladding look is an improvement.
