Helios Airways 522, the cabin pressurization system malfunctioned during the initial climb to altitude. All passengers and crew succumbed to hypoxia, but the aircraft still continued flying to Athens before running out of fuel. If the autopilot was set up for an auto descent, or if the crew recognized they were…
"But since 1900, we have gone from the invention of a basic plane developed by the Wright brothers to landing on the moon."
"Fly, yes... land, no"
One guy did this concept in the 50's with the PBY Catalina (smaller, but same idea). Seems like the perfect flying boat to turn into a flying yacht. I always thought the machine gun blisters turned bar & lounge were particularly super cool
Fair point. Its been a while since I've watched some of the earlier seasons of TNG.
Thanks for pointing out all the parallels. It may just not have been as apparent to me in the later seasons of TNG.
"It's probably worth pointing out that many of the characters created for Phase II did end up appearing in greatly modified form on TNG. Xon, the emotion-free Vulcan, inspired Data, Commander Decker became Riker, Ilia became Troi, albeit with very elaborate hair instead of a bald head."
Cheesy birdmess
A Safety briefing is technically required and on listed on every Pre-flight checklist, even when flying in a single engine aircraft for pleasure.
It actually seems like there is little difference between the "fake" and the "real" photo's. Both configurations seem identical (a 3-4-2 seat layout), and both seem to have similar leg room, head room and seat pitch. The only real differences are the number of passengers occupying seats (at least 2 seats in each row…

(Did you know that there's a treehouse resort in Oregon? It's called a "treesort".)

According to the Pilot, the problem wasn't with the engine, but rather his operation of it. He didn't add Carburetor heat in an instance where the weather permitted ice to form in the throat, which resulted in a loss of power.
This is a test flight of the Enterprise, the prototype shuttle that never actually flew in space or had actual rocket engines. They took it to high altitude then released it to verify the shuttle could glide down to the ground at a safe speed, as well as testing its ability to maneuver inter-atmosphere.
Ben Affleck as Batman, I hope :-/
At the time this episode aired, I was running a Star Trek blog, and if I recall, Garrett Wang was in People's list of the 100 most beautiful that year, and that was the reasoning behind keeping him on ship.
Harry's one "bad boy" plot was when he had sex with a member of an alien species that was notoriously isolationist. It resulted in a break of relations from Voyager with those people, and Janeway got to give the "i'm disappointed" speech to Harry.
In the episode they actually touch on the fact that its not that different from child birth, the DNA of two individuals was mixed together to create an entirely new individual, Tuvix was essentially the child of Tuvok and Neelix, which is gross, but basically true.
