They may have known what they were doing at some point, but they peaked 10-15 years ago, and have been making bland, oversized blobs just like everyone else ever since.
While they may have aced the AWD and Turbo classes, they slept right through the Head Gasket Engineering classes and handed in an origami throwing star for the final project.

I just checked Toyota’s website and the 4Runner uses a 5-speed transmission. I think the last Toyota that used the ancient 4-speed was the Corolla before getting the CVT.

Engine start stop, Headlights, defrost (and preferably heater and AC controls), wipers, and door locks. Gimme a button or switch that’s always available, and always in the same place, gives me physical feedback, and that I can use while wearing gloves without having to wonder if I actually hit it.
Anything that directly affects visibility, like windshield wipers. You can probably react quick enough in most situations when rain starts, but what if something unexpectedly splashes across the windshield? Even if a sensor exists that turns them on and off automatically, I’m not going to leave my forward visibility…

Not only are “experts” concerned just as much about those trucks, there have been multiple postings across multiple sources for multiple years. They (including this website) have even pointed out how it is a bigger American problem than other nations. Taking those same big grills and turning them into pointed steel…
Are you kidding? There’s literally been studies that show trucks are more lethal to pedestrians and other cars. The experts are saying that the LowPolyTruck will be even worse due to its particular design.
