I loved the game because, like the 1st one, it presented the idea of what we in the UFO circles call a Breakaway Civilization: a secretive group or people who come up with a technology or scientific advancement so ahead of its time, they inevitable become detached of the rest of humanity.

Wow, an asshole on the internet who gets cranky when his belief is debunked by facts.

Would have to be really dumb to do so, since DVD still outsells Blu.

Again, I feel compelled to say, in contrast to ThereAreManyLikeIt, that the vast, vast majority of those of us working for Palestinian enfranchisement are not anti-Jewish in any way, shape, or form. In fact, there are many Jews who are working for the same goal. And that remarks such as hers or his are incendiary, and

You know, I work for Palestinian rights of enfranchisement and reparations, and stupid remarks like yours (to: ThereAreManyLikeItButThis) which are totally unrelated to the topic, do a disservice for those of us committed to human rights in the region. I, myself, was very moved by this documentary. She is no less

Yeah, I don't really like the St. Patrick's Day celebrations either, as it tends to perpetuates some offensive and negative stereotypes about the Irish, such as alcoholism.

/wish there was a gluten-free Guinness though ;(

It's a power dynamic question, really. Other white people don't straight up not associate with people of Irish descent because they assume they have nothing in common...and the drinking stereotype really only comes up when people are drinking—often brought up by the person of Irish descent themselves.

I will also say

I really don't want to steer off topic because this "party" is clearly bullshit and the organisers deserves some severe critical dissection.

Stop it. Science doesn't work on non-celiac gluten avoiders. It bounces off them like Richard Simmons running into Vince Wilfork, without the visual hilarity.

For about a thousand reasons, how his has heart not exploded yet?

This is always awesome to see, but it's not a new thing. It's been a thing online for years now.

Huh. I always thought the phrase came from the test where you have a square array of nine dots, and you must connect all of them by drawing four straight lines without lifting your pen from the page.

Dude, I thought everyone knew that?

Denise approves.

....and that's what happens with a little company in Maine gets taken over by Clorox.

Oh my word, and not that I've seen any of these actual pants themselves ever, but are they fucking magical? Like, the fabric is sometimes see-through? And now it apparently can't be produced in large sized patterns or it "stops working"? IT'S FABRIC! This fabric better be cooking me dinner and reading me a bedtime

The extra silly thing about this is that (edible) gold leaf is available at many craft stores for pennies.
