YES. We get that in Canada a lot too. People think they can visit Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal in a short trip.

Usually if it is a larger plane, they check the bag through to your final destination. Double check with the attendant, but in my experience they check your ticket and print the final airport on the tag. This only works if you’re flying with the same airline/group, so definitely ask first.

I agree with you. Unfortunately too many women are trained from day one to be submissive and people pleasers, to a fault. This is the real problem we should be talking about. If a better news outlet had written up this story, that’s probably the take we would be getting.

Wow - thanks for the detailed response. I think your point about the journalists going in expecting these people to be “rubes” and then being satisfied to have that confirmed is very astute.

I’m just curious how journalists can excuse not pushing on this. I appreciate that they don’t want to antagonize anyone, but isn’t there an obligation to press a subject to get to the crux of the issue? Isn’t taking their response at face value and accepting it without question a failure of some sort?
