Well, doesn’t that look pretty damn good.

You can buy  decent house for $75k?! holy shit!

And just like *that* I went from complete indifference about this Corvette to actually rooting for it and looking at my finances to see if I could afford one on my modest salary. I can’t. Yet.

we need elderly retesting, but we also need retesting for everyone. Even if its only every 10 years. You should have to complete an online course before renewing your license at the very minimum. Maybe retrain on right of ways or how to merge and pass on the highway

Good for Steve Guttenberg helping out.  As for the 64-yr old, we really need elderly re-testing and certification on driving ability.  Only a Mercedes was lost here, fortunately she didn’t plow into a farmers market, as has happened and will again.

It’s not a Skyline to people who have only played Gran Turismo and are unaware that the Skyline has always been available in mundane, boring forms and trims.

On what basis is that not a Skyline? By that logic, this is also not a Skyline.

Except it is. It directly succeeds the G37/G35 which was originally called the Skyline in Japan. Even under the Infiniti brand this car was called a Skyline.

The GT-R is what’s known for that. Standard Skylines have always been executive cars.

I do not hope they go this route.

I don’t get all the hate in the Jalopnik comments about this car. I think it looks great, more like the supercars it is trying to emulate, it sounds incredible, and it will be an excellent value for the level of performance. Is it a badge thing?

Yeah...I found this 10,000 on the side of the road. Good thing I picked up that 9,000 dollars. Who knows what you would do if $8,000 went missing. Damn shame about that $7,000.

4900lbs that goes 0-60 in 3.1 seconds.  So yeah, it needs those.

A shining beacon of optimism on this otherwise horrifying design exercise. Thank you.

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how bonkers ginormous those front rotors are? I believe they are or were the largest ever brakes on a production car at 17.3". I love me a big brake rotor, and these are truly absurd in the best way.

“Without trying hard”

“No matter which way you look at it, it’s an incredible achievement.”

Oh Sour Skittles, burn my face off! I love you! I wholeheartedly disagree that the painful sensation of the burning candies aren’t complimentary - they’re perfectly complimentary to the pain life has to deal to us all, embrace the pain!

That’s a shitty take. And here I was thinking you were a gentleman for not spoiling the R&T article and at least getting Jalops to click over to it. Or, gasp, actually pay for a magazine.

Trans Canada Highway. Well-lit, and only a few exits.
