No, you’ve missed an opportunity here. In the F&F movies whenever they shift the car goes faster - Hyundai could give us an EV where you get x amount of power normally, but every time you pull a ‘shift’ lever you get a boost of power for the next 10 seconds or whatever. Then it would really feel like a F&F car when…
What a rollercoaster. The return of the 2.5RS, a decently powerful naturally aspirated Impreza hatch...but also cvt only for the whole generation.
Yeah I’m with you. If it was the price of like a GTS and regular series production this would be properly cool. As it is...you’ll probably never see one.
I (and anybody) can already take zoom calls in my car through regular old carplay, including while driving. Works great. It even is smart enough to give you the mute/unmute button handy in the split view with navigation.
They could be had with a V8 and AWD which is a pretty rare combination in a wagon. I seriously took a look into them when I needed a new daily, and if the interior wasn’t so horrendous I may have gotten one instead of the Audi A3 VR6 quattro I ended up with.
Wait where’s the VR6?
I mean, customization is great but only if we get a wide range of options of bodies and engines to start with. If we just have the option of putting a handful of common rally car engines in a handful of existing rally car bodies...it’s not really going to give that mad scientist feel.
Previous codemasters games have…
I’m sure the fact that the C5 intakes all its air from *under* the front bumper works perfectly offroad and doesn’t cause any issues on dirt, gravel, or when going through water.
Not just you. The T.33 is a properly pretty thing
That’s....not how electric motors work, the front motor can’t send its power to the rear. Drift mode will just be disabling the front motor, leaving you with a 270kW/~360hp RWD car
That...sounds like a 90s video game’s interpretation of a minivan V6, just louder. Ick.
Some old bikes don’t work that way. My ‘84 Honda just had a switch you could put in one of three positions, left center or right. Center was off, no ability to push it in to cancel.
I think many cars have had that feature since at least the mid-00's. I know both my 07 Audi A3 and my 09 Corvette had it.
On the other hand, I feel like when EVs and autonomous vehicles are mainstream and objectively superior vehicles, all the new ICE cars left will be enthusiast vehicles where people are buying them for the experience. In that case they are much more likely to also want a manual transmission.
The people buying cars as…
Yeah, with the torque spec comment I was more thinking about the hypothetical center lock car trying to do this. If it had to be torqued to factory spec that could make it very difficult to get off, that’s usually like 400+ ft-lbs
I wonder if there are rules about how many lug-nuts you need to have to be eligible? And if they need to be torqued fully...wonder if anyone feels like modifying a mclaren or porsche with center lock wheels to give it a try...
More realistically, something small and rwd with a 4 lug pattern (AE86?) could probably work…
Golf GTI with DSG is a good choice for sure, that’s a fun transmission. Anything with a CVT is not.
Yeah, I really liked how the wing fit the body shape of the previous one, just didn’t like all the fake vents. If they could put just the top half of the rear of the old one on this one it would be perfect
