I think generally, lane splitting is bad but lane filtering is good. That is to say, when traffic is moving at any significant speed, motorcycles should be in a lane like a car, but when stopped or moving very slowly, the motorcycles filtering through is safer for them, and increases efficiency for everyone.

Why would I want to buy a Toyota badged WRX STI? I expect it’ll be a good car, Subaru certainly knows how to make an awd system. But...why would you buy the rebadged one instead of the Subaru?

For passengers: do not leave stuff in my car, remove it at the soonest opportunity. If you have wrappers, garbage etc, keep it near you so that you will remember. And no, you cannot put your music on.

On the other hand, fake (“vegan”) leather sucks. It doesn’t feel as nice as leather and it’s WAY less durable. As for alternatives, Alcantara looks terrible after any use and cloth isn’t as nice to look at or touch (in my opinion). I’ll stick with real actual leather thanks.

Ferrari also got rid of the turn signal stalk without too many complaints, but they did so in a much more reasonable way and also for a purpose (to keep that area clear for large shift paddles). Also, their wheel stayed round. Tesla is just doing this...because.

That’s probably true for the people buying the high dollar GT500s etc, but I’m not so sure about the people buying the V6 convertible automatic mustangs which is a much bigger chunk. They’d probably be happy with the instant torque of an electric drivetrain

I agree completely. Rally Raid is a different beast, and one that they should learn rather than just complaining about. Look at how Peterhansel and Al-Attiyah are doing this year comparatively, being experienced rally raid drivers who are used to not just being able to drive flat out all the time.

Yeah, it definitely is niche, no argument. It is, however, exactly my niche. Unless it was $60k+ I’d be fine with it being a bit more than the STI. My biggest complaint about the STI is it’s too BIG and has 2 too many doors, but there isn’t really a better option here for me for what I want to do.

How about if they give you the same engine in the 200+lb heavier car, bigger car, with the 6mt, but fwd only? That’s my guess as to what’s actually likely to happen.

Absolutely. I bought a Subaru STI this summer. If this had been an option I would have bought one instead.

I want this car so badly. More than probably any <$100k car that has been released in the last 10 years. If they were sold here I legitimately would have bought one already.

The ability to plug it in so that it starts with a full battery after every service section seems useful, no reason not to be able to do that.
