The power actually went out last week to 35000-80000 people when a transformer substation caught fire, so this outage isn't a biggie. My power was out for just over eighteen hours. It was 115F at my house that day. Fuck my life.

Being depraved, I have had this experience at an airport. My luggage was opened in the private room off to the side of the checkpoint, and the butch TSA agent, let's call her "Pat," found several silicone "objects." She had the fucking audacity to pick one up with her gloved hand and bend it. Wiggly.

I did this to my room; in fact, in this very style. :) It takes up about 10% of my available floorspace, but it's SO worth it. I've even got a sliding glass panel with a lock for my coveted first editions.
