Is it that implausible though? R0 numbers suggest this is slightly more contagious than normal flu. Back when I lived with my parents, I remember plenty of flu seasons where one of us got sick but others did not.
I grew up in Nepal and this is what was standard too. We used a cast iron wok to make curries all the time. I didn’t know seasoning was a thing until my college roommate in the US spent hours looking at the oven every once in a while.
I feel like a lot of the beauty of GTA comes from the satire though. This has been true for every game since GTA III. I doubt they will do such a tonal shift in the game.
