another thing is the work ethic. It takes forever for japanese studios to bring out titles. Final Fantasy 13, Gran turismo 5, etc. North american and european studios are either much more efficient or much harder working, or they're simply playing with much bigger production budgets.

@Rod_Z: Actually, if the margin on the pspGO is the same as most hardware, they really have no incentives. I used to work in a game store 12 years ago, selling the original playstation, which we made a whopping 69 CENTS profit on, just so it could be priced the same as everyone else.

I just about tossed my copy of "Pure" out the window when I realized it didn't have 2 player splitscreen.

it's a shame because this game had elements in it that were quite fun and cool, like swan diving down a mile deep pit and swinging off stalagmites. wasted potential.
