They can only hear you within a certain radius, which is quite cool when you're tracking other players.

Depends how fast your speeds are, i was getting around 45-50mbps when i downloaded it earlier.

It's in alpha, the whole reason for them releasing it to the public is to find glitches like this so they can be fixed before final release.
