Well, my casual baseball fandom has been exposed. I'm pretty much basing my assessment of Dye off of his time on the sox and royals, and thats based on the eyeball test. Nothing statistical, which admittedly I did not look at, at all.

I dont think his case is any stronger than Jermain Dye's: who is worth discussing, but isn't a hall of famer. He was always playing on teams that never garnered much attention, but he had a very productive career that was better than he ever really got for.
