I used to live just outside of Lajes Field AFB, and my house was right in line with the flightline (as well as the commercial airport), so every in-coming aircraft would pass directly over my house a few moments before landing. The fighter jets were often a loud distracting nuisance, but I loved watching the C-17s

Can anyone explain to me how to differentiate an SU-27 from a Mig-29? I know that the SU-27 is much larger, but aside from that they look virtually identical to me.

Yeah, it's an awesome plane. Amazing that 4th-gen designs are absolutely still relevant even as the U.S. government is in the process of scrapping our 70's era fleet. Modern American fighter jets sure look cool, but we just can't build hardware that is miles ahead of the competition anymore. I have no doubt that

Hm. I would have to agree with the author, the video isn't really racist, merely depicting a very superficial, narrow view of its subject. I don't think anyone need feel offended by the video itself. In fact, I thought it was perfectly in keeping with the tone of the music... which has to be one of the most vapid,

Of course! It was split at Osgiliath, the ancient capital city of Gondor, which fell to the Ruskies... I mean Orcs, though the Gondorians maintained a foothold in a part of the city west of the river.

But... but... that's a Ludacris song! Oh, I see. You don't really care do you? Well then, carry on.

That is horrible to look at. I don't care that it's "sexy," I'm offended by the god-awful design aesthetic. The whole thing is beyond tacky.

Nope, not even a little bit. They were designed to look a certain way (cool, or badass, or something), but they are horribly impractical. Now, there are highly ornate Ceremonial or decorative weapons from real-world history, but Kratos's blades belong more in a comic-book world than real historical warfare.

Pshaw. Call me when they make a statue of Namira I can have a few friends for dinner in front of.

But... the Dragonborn was an Orc! My Orc! Shut up!

XB1 and PS4 and I will get together in a year or so, when we have more to talk about in terms of available games and how well the various new services turn out and the glitches and bugs have been addressed (or not). 'Till then I've got a perfectly good 'box with a ton of unplayed games readily available and getting

This is exactly right. If Conan really thought that gaming was stupid and its fans contemptible, he wouldn't bother featuring it on his show. He's teasing his own audience, on purpose, because that's his schtick. A real grumpy old man like Jay Leno or... say Johnny Carson (if he were alive) wouldn't do ongoing

The models themselves are very cool, but most impressive of all is the surface texturing. I paint and I build models as well, and combining them like this just amazes me. It's incredibly hard to make worn, old-looking surfaces like this, this well, on a little piece of plastic. These guys are artists.

I still have my copy of KI Gold. I never was any good at it though. Fulgore and Jago were the only characters that I could do much with.

I'd agree. I don't actually recall my childhood very well, but I remember that even as a very young kid I had a profound sense of when books or tv shows were presenting an overly sentimental or simplistic view of children or childhood, and I remember being deeply resentful whenever I felt like I was being patronized.

Ugh this sounds like a huge pain in the ass all around. When two games fill up nearly a 5th of your Hard drive space, mandatory installs are a problem. I'm sure we'll be seeing upgraded consoles with more memory in the future, but this really turns me off. Even if the games are just cached and deleted when you play

Forget Doom 4... Bethesda needs to build Skyrim 2: Destroy All Elves on id Tech 5 and add this artist to the design team and ensure that I spend the remainder of my 30's alone in a dark room attached to my computer screen.

sweet! lower priced 360 games coming my way!

"Dr. Donkenstein" from xbox live here. I'd always thought that the concept of Donkey Punching was hilarious, and the references to the act on such shows as Aqua Teen Hunger Force reinforced the humor to me. Around 2006 or 2007 there was a film called Donkey Punch, and around the same time my roommate bought City of

I started listening to AM radio myself, during car rides. Mostly because I discovered that Coast To Coast covers goofy X-files subject matter. But the same station also plays Rush, and Hannity right after. And you're right, the difference between those guys and NPR stuff is like night and day. They may or may not
