The school is at fault for being a piece of shit.
The school is at fault for being a piece of shit.
Yeah cuz if they did it in 1922, they should do it now. Good point.
Or go to Europe. Or someone should come up with a 1-3yr Dev camp.
Right there proves the problematic fantasy that people believe. Do you really believe THAT many athletes are on "full rides"? Most "scholarshiped" athletes do not get free education. They're paying back loans just like any other ordinary college student.
They can get an education if they want to. If they want to skate, they can skate just like any other student at a school can skate and take the easiest classes.
There are very few who are good enough and worth the gamble.
So what, you want everything for nothing?
Basketball players can go to Europe, or just hone their skills. NFL won't take 99.999999% of the kids before they're eligible anyways, nor should they. Baseball, Hockey, Soccer they can go pro whenever they want.
They don't have to play college ball.
Thanks for the world. Interesting. But, I thought this would be a lot more awesome than it ended up being.
LOL. So they should burn money on planes/pilots/hotels for kids because they make so much money?
Fuck the NCAA, but...yeah, fuck the NCAA on this one. Let the kids enjoy the experience and get some rest, cunts.
Desmond was probably the only cool thing about this show. The show actually peaked with Desmond's appearance and "See you in another life brotha" - that's when there was peak-intrigue. However, in true Lindelof fashion, he ruined it.
Team upset because unsigned contract not honored? gfy's.
"he's at times used a 4-4-2 with two flat-out wingers and Christian Eriksen playing centrally, which yes, is as mind-boggling as it sounds."
ESPN loves to hype the shit it sells as relevant. They give the womens CBB tourney has much highlight time as the mens once you get deep into the tourney. Which is interesting because no one actually gives a shit about that tourney. Hell, if you look at the Getty Images of those games, they're rarely even half full.
The value of an FSU scholarship is not set by a small subset of students. If they want a more valued scholarship, they can go somewhere with more academic prestige.
No one makes these kids play. I think the NCAA fucking sucks but 98-99% of these kids are getting more value than they're worth.
Because they chose to accept the offer? Should all people with the same job title get the same pay?
This story is anti-interesting.
