and this is why the first accessory I bought for my 91 jaguar was a fire extinguisher.

Electrical problem implies something not working. This is more of an immolation problem.
How the hell is it that half of all machinery built in the UK is subject to electrical failure? Seriously? Does it have to do with the rain?
I TOTALLY believe a 10yr old Jag caused the fire.
It might also be wise to factor in a replacement of the flywheel at some point. After all, those teeth are taking a lot more strikes from the ones on the starter motor. Many times (dozens...hundreds?) per trip versus once at the beginning.
Have Chevy build it and call it a Honda
in other news, Musk says something, blogs lap it up, Musk's stock goes up, he does nothing else.
That's good, most of those green idiots can't drive anyways.
Then why not taking the fracking bus?
This is just dumb and perfect for chicks and bad drivers
Don't want any of that. whats the point of a Supercar if it doesn't shout and get noticed. I want a supercar to be high strung. that's the point. If you want a car that makes you forget you're driving go buy a Toyota Avalon.
You do realize the energy density of a battery is pathetically low compared to gasoline? Sure if we can run extension cords behind our cars they could be super fast, or even an electrified grid above the road like bumper cars, I'm not discrediting the electric motor, I'm discrediting the hybrid/battery tech.
You do listen to marketing on a daily basis assuming you work for a car company. Marketing and sales is the entire reason most engineers have a job.
If you think that hybrid technology in super cars actually exists to make the cars faster, you've never taken a marketing or business strategy class. It's not about performance, its about brand image.
For a commuter car, it makes a whole lot of sense. however for a Supercar, not so much. The only type of hybrid Supercar that could make sense would be a super light gas turbine/electric hybrid, the batteries are just to inefficient at this point. Mobile technology will (and has) driven battery tech, not cars.
