Isn't this just a matter of putting a 1-way diff up front and a 2-way diff in the back? Then the rear locks and walks sideways immediately without trying. At least that is how Cusco describes it. Or rather how they caution AWD customers concerning rear 2-way diffs being for drivers who desire lots of oversteer.
