I’m not a fan of the excesses of the RTD era. So this was a very backwards step for me. But I get that people’s mileage may vary there!

Yeah, I agree. I’ve found the future scenes in the seventh season to be a total drag. Everbody was so dull! So it’s not boding well for this show.
Personally I really want to see Sauron and the Savage Land. I mean Superheroes vrs Dinosaurs. That’s like an automatic ticket for most folks I’d wager!
izombie too you guys! Don’t forget that. (Or I was I the only person still watching?)
In any event, it had a decent enough ending and a final season that was at least a step up from the previous one.
“The world needs laughter!”
Yeah, I was surpised to not see that either. (I mean even if the ghost element didn’t make it genre appropriate it has that whole far flung future scene..)
A shame as it’s an incredibly fun take on the story, using it do jump back one more time to Blackadder II (my favourite) and Blackadder the Third.
Tom Welling is actually really big. I met him last year and was genuinely surprised at what a giant he is!
Initially I thought that too, but CBR just linked to a tweet from the makers of this crossover where they’ve come right out and said that Brandon IS playing a future version of his ‘Superman Returns’ Supes, which of course is supposed to be a continuation of the Donner Superman.
Maybe it’s Ray Palmer, pretending to be Clark kent, after having earlier discovered the resemblance? That would be some wild hijinks!
I feel the same way about the GOTG films. The first one just seems to consist of the cast shouting at each other all the way through, and generally not being very likable at all. The second at least felt like it had some genuine emotion to it. (Plus Kurt Russell!)
IIRC I had a similar issue with his Avengers run. (Sigh!) I was actually starting to enjoy X-men again just before this run too..
I never used to mind Freddie Prinze, Jr. But he went on a rant about Kiefer Sutherland a while back, and I have to say I met Kiefer a couple of times at an event in Wales this year, and he was as nice, and polite and gentlemanly as anyone I’ve ever met. So it now makes me take anything Freddie says with a pinch of…
There is a context. That was the Inferno storyline. And it was deliberate look for that particular story. All the X-men had been corrupted by demonic influences. The guys kinda looked that way as well, with IIRC Havok’s uniform being virtually in tatters. And if you look in the background you can see even New York‘s…
Given that they have Kevin Conroy, I really want them to bring in Michael Rosenbaum as Lex AND the Wally West Flash! That would be so damned satisfying!
Hey, it’s not a Netflix show Lol! There’s still a chance it could avoid going down that route.
Though having said that, if they’re drawing inspiration from the Matt Fraction era, there is a danger it could very much end up like that.
Man, I’m right there with you. I was sooo disappointed by the Kyle Reese scene not being included. To this day, I think it’s a much better film when it’s in there.
I remember buying a ticket to see Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, because we weren’t old enough to see it with it’s 15 rating here in the UK. (Of course we had no problem seeing the 18 rated original on video!) We then snuck next door to pop into the screening hall showing T2.
I also remember being really disappointed…
That is wise.
And they’d have to do it quickly, as his webs supposedly dissolve after an hour or so!
Ahh, that Tobey Maguire Spider-Man was just so irresponsible!
I wanted him years ago for Gambit, when they were doing the first X-men films. He totally had the build and that kind of coolness. Plus he rocks the long coat look.. :)
