As an outside observer of Xbox/Forza, this looks pretty promising. Their normal areas of expertise have been improved (damage, car selection, customization), and they might finally be catching up in other areas (cars that don’t look like flat cartoons, driving physics, realism/tone).
Actually I think they only have go/go-go gauges. They need some go/no-go gauges.
They’ve got that Google cheddar now, they should be good on finances.
Do you get any money for 15th place? Considering it’s his esports team, I’m sure he covered their entry fee and salaries already. They’ll be fine.
That’s just their cover. The IP address was apparently easily viewable by anyone searching for the LeMans server on Steam. No leaks required, just piss-poor security and organization.
At this point you’re basically buying debt. The only reason to buy them would be to immediately back out of their exclusivity deals and then shut them down. Nobody wants to step in and actually try to run that company.
Sure, and you think a team wouldn’t be pissed if they had multiple defective tires? Remember Indy when only, what, 5 cars raced?
It will be quicker in a straight line than the base car and probably give the Z06 a run for its money if not beat it. It’s got the wide body of the Z06, so handling should be at least as good as the base car. What’s not to like about a faster sports car?
“The FSD seemed to cut lanes and brake.”
You should probably contact Tesla about that. Address your email to the address below:
Except those comments were not arguing whether FSD was engaged or not. They were operating under the assumption that it WAS on, and STILL blaming the accident on other drivers.
Nah, this is a Cadillac we’re talking about. People buying Cadillacs don’t need a tax incentive. If GM wants to qualify they can sell it for less.
I think you’re forgetting about the other end of the scale, where only 1 parent works and the file together. Now it’s 1 income supporting 2 people instead of 2 incomes supporting 2 people. Rare these days for sure, but there are those of us who do it (or in my case, 1 income supporting 5 people).
“I get that getting cars to the point of being autonomous has turned out to be far more challenging than originally thought.”
“Peak horsepower. The VF8 only has 350 to 402 horsepower when the battery is above 80 percent charge,” the engineer said.
My guess is the “V” was replaced with the Corvette logo, and it’s dark enough you can’t see it.
Except you don’t spend those 8 hours doing any of that. It’s an hour to get to airport parking, 15 minutes to shuttle to the terminal, 20 minutes for security and getting to your gate, 30 minutes for boarding, then you get an hour tops in the air before spending 10 minutes deplaning, 20 minutes to walk through the…
Same, 4 hours is the cutoff where I start to even consider flying. That said, without high-speed rail, 2.5 hours by train is probably roughly a 3.5-4hr drive, so it really wouldn’t change anything for me.
There’s a guy I work with who is married with 2 kids, and he wakes up at 5:30 every morning to get in a 10 mile run or a 20+ mile bike ride. Even he doesn’t ride his bike to work or on errands, it’s purely exercise/recreation.
