Strange how I didn’t hear a huge uproar when Max got screwed over multiple times at Jeddah. While it didn’t decide the title, there were way more screwed up calls in that race than in the finale. Instead all anyone talked about was Max’s “brake check” on Hamilton. When Hamilton takes the hit for one of Masi’s bad

So 3 years, 23 people, $960k.  That’s $14k/year per person.  I suppose that’s not bad as a side hustle, but man that’s a lot of effort to go through for not a lot of money.

As someone else who is unversed in the Twitters, how exactly do they handle that? They suppress views of non-promoted tweets? I would imagine there are millions of promoted tweets every day, how do they decide which one gets shown to which user?

This town sounds like the premise to a Knight Rider episode.

It seems the entirety of the UK hasn’t let it go yet, but Zack Brown is right. Other than a few people who will never get over it, it will be old news once the new season kicks off.

His list was 100% accurate until Liberty Media bought F1. Now that the owners are American things are slowly turning around, but there is definitely still the old way of thinking going on at a lot of the teams, especially Ferrari.

Both sides are to blame, but one is individuals making decisions for themselves, and the other is a government trying to make decisions for its people. While I don’t agree with the individuals, I still support their right to make the decision. I also understand that your decisions may preclude you from certain things

Wow, spectacular, 30%-40% effective against transmittal. All our worries are over, people, just mandate everyone gets the vaccine!

Well I caught it from someone who was also vaccinated, so someone else’s vaccination status means pretty much nothing to me.  Not sure why it means so much to the Canadian government, either.

Yes they can, but we both know they won’t, which means more logistics nightmares and higher costs for us all.

I agree Canada can do whatever they want, I’m just not looking forward to the current logistical nightmare getting even worse and costs continuing to increase.  I also don’t understand why Canada is concerned about an individual’s vaccination status.  You can still contract and spread Covid even if you are vaccinated

Yeah, I can’t imagine any automaker doing something like that today...

You’re not even using terms correctly, and if you think the stock market is any indication of profitability let me introduce you to a little company named Tesla.

It’s understandable.  The pandemic has hit people hard, these people are just trying to sca... earn a living.

Ah, I see the confusion.  Even so, making peak torque at 1200rpm isn’t necessarily correlated to turbo lag.  I was just pointing out that they’re 2 separate terms with different factors at play.  My guess is if you hit the gas in top gear at 1200rpm it will take a half-second or second before you actually hit that max

I could go into a long-winded explanation from personal experience demonstrating how wrong you are, but since you wouldn’t read it I’ll just use an example from my lunch break today.

Sure, let’s blame it on the individual trying to make a living. I’m vaccinated (which didn’t prevent me from getting covid anyway), and I think everyone else should too, but I also realize that it’s not actually a magic bullet, nor should it be federally mandated in order to work.

Hi, can I live in your fantasy land where labor and logistics shortages don’t cause cost increases?  It sounds like a swell place to be, much better than the hellscape that is the current reality of trying to produce product and move it around the world.

That’s not how economics works. Yes, companies want to make money, that’s why they exist. But a “supply glitch” is absolutely the cause of price increases. We’re a major supplier to the refrigeration industry and the cost of raw materials has shot up due to the increase in demand. Then there are delays in getting the
