Correction: Volcanoes are not solely responsible for increasing CO2. Just on that graph I can see a bump for each major eruption, so they definitely have a measurable effect.

Unbelievable. Here we are in the middle of a climate crisis and this volcano thinks it’s a good idea to go off and spew millions of tons of untreated CO2 and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Someone should fine it.  Or maybe it can buy carbon credits from Tesla, then we could actually start laughing at

But what if I need to back up, Jason??  How will I ever find reverse!?

Right, I think she worded that wrong. Lower octane fuel is MORE likely to cause knock, but also more likely to actually ignite. If your engine is starved for air and your timing is overly retarded, you would want a lower octane fuel to prevent misfires.

Exactly. This is nothing but a federal subsidy of unionized labor. It’s also pretty clearly an attempt to buy votes by the Democrats and shore up their voting base. Can’t say I blame them, I mean they’re politicians, it’s what they do.

The only thing that brings me hope is I see some gravel traps around the track.  That’s already an improvement over most modern tracks.

I think Tesla was probably held responsible because when you say you’re selling a certified used vehicle there is an expectation that you have done some sort of inspection for accident damage prior to listing it as “accident-free”. I know years ago I thought about selling a car to Carmax. Clean title, clean CarFax,

Agreed.  I was literally saying “stay out, Lando!” because all of the team radio to that point indicated light rain/drizzle.  Once Mercedes told Hamilton “it’s going to get worse” I knew there could be trouble, but McLaren never relayed the same message to Norris.

From what I remember, they were telling him “it’s raining in turn whatever” as he was currently driving through the rain in that turn.  Had they gotten on the radio and said “the rain is going to get worse, box this lap” like Mercedes did he would have likely come in.  If he had insisted on staying out at that point

It really wasn’t, though, and it had nothing to do with the actual racing at all, which is (weirdly, I know) the reason I watch racing. Plus, DtS covered it in the Hamilton episode at the very end, which seems totally appropriate as you yourself said he was leading the charge.

Formula E will be interesting when they ditch fanboost release the soundtrack.

This was my take as well. Maybe he’s referring to the wrong generation? The S197 V6 was slow, loud, buzzy, cramped, and, well, I can’t even remember how it handled, so let’s assume not good.

“Driving Instructor Simulator 2021 Edition”

They should just rename FSD to “Driving Instructor Simulator 2021 Edition”.

So they’ll hit them at a lower speed now?  I guess it’s a start.

“which was probably the most compelling and relevant story of the entire year”

Totally agreed.  I’ve been looking forward to the rules changes since they were announced, mostly just because it throws a huge wrench in everything.  For all we know Haas could find a trick nobody else does an be fighting for a title.  I definitely don’t expect that to happen, but I bet someone will.

Hey, I didn’t say it was a high probability.

A cross-walk to where?  A park?  A store?  Their own private parking spot?

This was my thought too. Apparently the rep wasn’t against removing the speed bump, he just kept spending the funds on other stuff (feel free to guess what). If I was told “sure, we’ll do it when we get the funds” I’d probably say “screw it, I’ll save them the trouble” too.
