But that’s the exact opposite of this.  This is old bones, new shell.

Yeah, you’re right.  I should have worded it better.  I meant more that anyone who feels the need to let other people know their political opinion without solicitation is not tolerant or open-minded.  And I say this as someone who has had way too many “discussions” with people on both sides.  The most vocal are also

Sadly there are a lot of things that shouldn’t be necessary in this life yet they are.  C’est la vie.

I still have Enthusia somewhere, I think.  I wanted to like it, but I quickly went back to GT4.

GT4 is one of the best racing games of all time, and easily the best on PS2.

I don’t disagree with you, but unfortunately nobody has figure out how to make racing fast enough to be exciting, diverse enough to be interesting, and cheap enough to have a full field.  GT3 is the closest thing we have, but even that’s bleeding teams off quickly due to cost.

I just felt a chill.

In this particular case I don’t think the FIA would specifically have an issue (or at least would understand why it would be unwise to publicly state they have an issue).

Yes, it definitely could have been worded better. Regardless, most of the replies (barring yours) are exactly the kind of knee-jerk unreasoned responses I was intending to call out.

“not endorse philosophies that are ethically, logically, and socially harmful

That’s an oversimplification of the issue, which is apparently the only discourse allowed on the internet these days.  And I wasn’t speaking specifically about BLM, I was speaking about our overall political/social climate, as I already explained previously.

Right, so again, what is it that I need to do so urgently to save the country? Pick whichever side sucks less at the moment and pick up a pitchfork? That seems to be working really well.

I think you’re reading it wrong.  I’m condemning both extremes, not excusing either.  The fact that we have basically two extremes (plus anarchists, I guess) is the root of why nothing is ever solved.

Except I was replying to someone else’s comment which was a generalization, not specifically about Lewis Hamilton.  Follow the chain.

Haha, what exactly does my country need me to do? Vote for some old white guy who definitely has my best interests at heart? Get on the internet looking for someone with a different opinion than me so I can scream at how they’re a librul snowflake or racist redneck? Yeah, no thanks.

Thanks for proving me correct!

Hey buddy, calm down.  I didn’t say anything specifically about Lewis wearing a t-shirt.  I agree on this one that the whole thing is BS from start to finish.  My comment was about the current political climate in the US overall.

The only reason the name matters is for actually selling cars. Product recognition and word of mouth and such. As it is you’ll have to tell your rich friends “yeah, it’s the Cadillac CT5-V Plus. You don’t want the CT4-V or the CT5-V, that one only has 360hp. The Plus has 600 horsepower and costs twice as much.

Nobody with a strong political opinion is actually tolerant or open-minded. Nobody.

Yeah, I’m going to go ahead and say that they won’t actually be producing any cars until late 2021 at the earliest.  Engineering the car is great and all (and it sounds like they haven’t even finalized that yet), but setting up the line, processes, suppliers, logistics and everything else is the real challenge.  Good
