David, I think your problem is multi-layered. For one, your love of buying and fixing broken things waned a bit, probably just from being overwhelmed by too many projects. You started to fix this by selling off a bunch, then bought another one.... in another country. Which just adds hassle, cost, and a time crunch to

Gatekeeping is only bad when people you don’t like do it. Actually when it comes to The Root, just leave that first word blank. Their motto seems to be “_______: it’s only bad when someone else does it”.

Oh man, don’t get me started on what passes for “highways” in the northeast.  Navigating anywhere around Boston is an exercise in frustration and brake application.

which points out that while living in a more compact space is obviously better for the environment and quality of life

As someone who visits Mexico regularly for work, I haven’t noticed gas being more expensive there than in the US.  Currently, sure, gas in the US is stupid cheap right now.  But normally they’re fairly equivalent.

Why wouldn’t a hot-V fit? Clearance to the rear window? If anything I’d think it would fit easier than a conventional setup where they have to cram the turbos in somewhere on the sides.

Deal with what?  Gas prices in Canada aren’t that much higher than the US, and Mexico is typically cheaper than here, or at least equivalent.

Most countries with higher gas taxes than the US are much more localized and urban-centric.  Being a contractor in the midwest requires a whole lot more gasoline than being a contractor in Luxembourg.

This. I’m not sure why he felt like he needed to cast blame for the existence of a pandemic on GM and Ford for fulfilling their contractual obligations, but it seems pretty clear to me that nobody is begging for ventilators anymore.  Talk about a reach.

Aside from their weird choice to do the commercial in English, I don’t want any part of that.  As soon as that thing took to the air my mind immediately went to everything that could go wrong, including no-longer-flying vehicles crashing down onto plebes’ heads.

I’m sorry, I think you’re a bit confused. These people are paying for cheats that allow them to do things that are impossible no matter how much time and effort they put into the game. No matter how much you practice, you won’t have an aimbot. You won’t be able to see people through walls. You won’t be able to have

Right.  This was just the low-hanging fruit the feds could easily prove.  I guarantee he was making way more than that $200k on kickbacks and bribes and such.

So... is this Ford’s Vision GT car?  Because that’s the only place this thing would actually exist.  And it would look a lot better than that weird render video they made.

1. The Feds don’t need any of them to flip on FCA

Why pay $20k/year for your 4 month vacation every year when you can just take it out of union dues? After all, there’s a whole week of meetings that you scheduled right next door to your rental villa, that totally justifies charging 4 months of it to the union!

Or, like me, you just want a shiny new toy.  Hobbies are built on shiny new toys.

Ok, so let’s look at this another way.  What would Sony and Microsoft possibly have to gain by delaying the launch?  They’re already going to sell out immediately (at least the PS5 will) even without shiny new games to play, so why would you give up on a few months of sales or choose to sit on millions of units of

Gotcha, that’s more reasonable.

It is illegal, at least in my state.  I’m sure they’re fine in others (Florida seems to be pretty much anything goes with stupid aesthetic mods), but they’re not legal everywhere.

I guess maybe if you’re rocking that whole smoked-taillight look for all your rear lights, this might make sense? Is that it?
