Speaking just for me, there's always 1 to 3 games that I view as an absolute must buy that I pre-order ahead of time & pay a full price. This year for me was The Last of Us, Grand Theft Auto V & Tomb Raider. Everything else was secondary & I waited for games to either become free on PS+ or become heavily discounted.

I just want to say that I hate that game with all my heart. I still have the original PSone disc laying around somewhere. Every single time I would get just far enough in that game, the gotdamn Digimon would die because he pooped too damn much. I remember preparing for huge boss battle only for this creature to die on

Damn. Just recently picked up BioShock & DmC around Black Friday. Not complaining though. Great games. Can't wait to see what all the buzz is about for Brothers though.

Here's hoping that Amazon will apply some steep sales throughout next year with that newly minted PlayStation Store front. That plus PS+ discounts & free games makes a killer combo.

Check out Capital One 360 (formerly ING Direct). They're generally okay.

Does pre-order on the Square Enix store work like Amazon where they charge after they ship? Would jump on this immediately, but only if that's the case.

I thought you were calling back to when it was announced as a Wii U exclusive, but hey, whatever works.

It'd be so nice to get one of these. My computer down right sucks at gaming. To even get Super Meat Boy running smoothly, I have to put it on the lowest resolution available. And I have so many games in my Steam library thanks to good sales. Here's to hoping.

This sounds extremely ambitious. I love the concept that they're pushing. Go anywhere, do everything. I never played a space sim in my life, but I'm ready to jump in with both feet in this game.

I'm convinced that Joel being a co-host was a last minute decision. He clearly didn't care about being there. He only genuinely showed excitement when he heard that No Man's Sky was being done by 4 people. At the end, he seemed to sober up a bit, talking about how he was going to get Donky Kong Country for his kids,

Yeah, the cameraman joke was the only funny joke. After the female orgasm joke though, I knew it was going to be a rough three hours. And I really believe Joel when he said he took a shot for every time someone said "next gen". What a mess.

I feel ya. Here's hoping that they get around to making a sequel for the PS4 & better realize their vision.

According to Indie Statik, they spoke to Sean Murray & he said that that was the code name for what eventually become No Man's Sky. So, same thing.

Starhawk?

Well, guess it's time to finally start saving for a next gen console. I don't even care about the show anymore. My goal for the rest of the night is to figure out how to send Hello Games every dollar I have.

Actually, that kind of makes sense. But any attempt to "deconstruct our masculinist society" will be basically met with "so you want me to have feelings & act like a bitch?" Gotta love perception.

To be fair, people who bought Google Glass are beta testers as well, & they paid $1500 for that privilege.

My cousin brought his Xbox One over to our aunt's house on Thanksgiving. We were trying to set up a game on NBA 2K14 & for the life of us could not get the game to recognize the second controller (maybe had something to do with him not having brought the Kinect, not sure). That literally took 5 minutes to figure out,

That video is totally missing the chime that the early PS3's had when booting into the game. It was a very nice touch. Shame they took it away. Also, the PSP had a lovely sound when booting into the game as well.

Oh man, when it hangs there for like a second or two longer than it's supposed to & you hope whatever stupid thing you did didn't totally screw it up? Yeah, those were the times.
