They had done their usual release on or before Sept 21st when they announced it. That was solely done to keep it as a summer release (which since they started doing that, they have been keeping up to it). This is definitely ahead of schedule and based on what I have played of the alpha, it pretty spot on.

You can technically already do that. The VOD of the current live stream is available at the same time the stream is happening. I use that to clip moments I missed for some of my other streamer friends.
