People choked when the price of video games went up from $40 to $60. Wondering the same - I just don’t see NVidia being so stupid as to engineer a card that would require a single 40% jump in MSRP in order to make a profit. I’m primarily an AMD user but NVidia is not (typically) a foolishly run company.

My bet would be to minimize profit losses based on items sold. They can mask some of the loss by claiming “crypto miners aren’t buying like we expected” but still compensate up to 10-15% profit based on individual card sales - There is no way that NVidia engineered this card knowing that they’d have a MSRP jump of…
