Maybe. Some people purposely slow down when they see pedestrians change direction while on the sidewalk. This is especially true in residential areas where you see kids playing out front. You never know if one of them decides it will be a good idea to dart out into the road.

Sadly the media will sensationalize this, yet the track record for autonomous driving and accidents/injuries/deaths is so much better than us human counterparts. I hope Uber quickly resumes. RIP pedestrian.

You can’t test for human behavior in sanitized conditions.

It certainly won’t be an easy investigation. Flaws in the decision-making of machine-learning systems are as-good-as impossible to predict. Furthermore, the current generation of computer scientists, educated to work in Silicon Valley, are ill-equipped to write and analyze code for safety-critical systems.

This is the first pedestrian killed by an autonomous vehicle.....

I imagine, with all the sensors and cameras on that thing, this will be the easiest crash investigation in the history of crash investigations.

He is Making money from videos featuring Domino’s trademarks. Can’t do that.

Sam is making money off of videos of the car. The car has trademarked logos and designs on it. Domino’s is essentially claiming that Sam is profiting from their trademarked property and they wouldn’t be too wrong about that. Another issue is that if Domino’s does not take action to protect its trademarks then they

Not if he’s generating revenue using Domino’s IP. I’m surprised the lawyers are leaving this at the franchise level.

Yes, they can sue you if you put a Dominos trademark on a car, then film monetized Youtube videos with it.

As much as I sympathize with him, and as much as I dislike Domino’s, the truth is that they’re the ones in the right here.

“The Charger is the last RWD full-size American sedan.” — sure yes, but there are other RWD full-size sedans out there for somebody looking for a full-side sedan. And “American” is a misnomer for a car assembled in Canada for a company run by Italians.

For those corksniffers who say “man, if I could just buy the last good S-class with low miles and modern technology”.... get a 300 already and stop worrying so damn much about what everyone else thinks. Literally: grow up.

LOL that’s a good one.

You’re on the internet crying about a celebrity. At least Kimmel gets paid.

I’m sure you think you’re being tough and manly, but you’re coming across like a kid with all the self awareness of a lemming.

Oh, you’re just an asshole. Okay, that explains the sentiment.

All of us who read this now know about this rule. The Flight Attendants should be fired, and black balled, as in never allowed to board another aircraft as a flight attendant.

because it wasn’t a service animal, which is totally fine in the cabin as long as they are in a carrier of a certain size-

If they’re a certain size it doesn’t matter. Hence the owner buying a TSA approved carry-on bag for the dog. If the dog was too big the booking agents and TSA wouldn’t have let it on the plane.
