I love that anyone anti-Trump is automatically pro-illegal immigration.

There’s a comforting unity in the Formula SAE community due to the near-universal experiences: energy drinks, dubstep, weird cars owned by team members, and that goddamn cost report

There was a story on Reddit a few months ago (not sure if it was true) where a guy was sitting in a pharmacy and a kid jumped on his lap. The guy was startled and jumped up, knocking the kid to the ground. Without hesitation, the mom ran over and PUNCHED the guy in the face and then called the police.

Considering that the last 2 months have seemed like one never-ending trip for you guys, you can be forgiven for a bit of a delay on the podcast!

All Cars Go To Heaven covers almost all of them quite well.

Pulling away from tollbooths in my Saab. Right hand holding the window-up button (located on center console). Left hand crossing body and shifting into second.

I have to say, “All Cars Go To Heaven” from The Smoking Tire checks pretty much all of these boxes...

Your approach is perfectly reasonable, and is actually similar to my story. Dad didn’t have much money growing up, worked hard to put himself through college. Now that they have more money, my parents always emphasized education, so I was a good student. My parents paid for my car and college, so naturally I became a

This was my approach too. My parents got me the car, and I worked every winter and summer break to pay for the gas, insurance, etc.

A couple thousand dollars is still hard to do at modern high-school-job wages, if you want the kid to have any sort of sleep/school performance.

My parents taught me to value work and education. Guess what, being a good student requires a lot of homework and studying. Also, a car is a pretty expensive item, and fairly impractical for a high school student to buy just working an after-school job.

Also, anyone who is an AP student, athlete, and student council has no time to work enough hours that will allow them to buy a car.

That’s what I did and I turned out okay.

Admit it, you purposely chose this picture with a Range Rover in the left lane.

True, but I think that a large part of that is them being unlicensed and driving with no formal training or certification. Once they go through the licensing process, they should be on an even playing field as everyone else.

But the argument that Titanius Anglesmith was making was that they were being given official drivers licenses, yet somehow were more dangerous than normal drivers, which makes no sense. That’s what I was arguing. Obviously, they shouldn’t be allowed to drive without a license, but neither should anyone else.

That makes no sense at all. You can’t just walk into the DMV and take a drivers license. You have to be EVALUATED AND TESTED like everyone else.

What about them being illegal makes them a worse driver? If they get a license, they’ve met the exact same requirements as every other driver. Your comment makes absolutely no sense,.

I agree. But I also think that it’s a only small percentage of people who buy Teslas who care. If it was just about being frugal, few would buy the P85D over an 85. And in the end, they are still getting a car that will save them money in the long run.
