As a non-US person, I’ve never found any (non-sporty) american car to be even vaguely interesting, but I’ve always wondered why the volt didn’t sell like hotcakes. At the time it seemed to be this perfect mix, like the next evolution of the Prius/hybrid model.

You posted it earlier. That concept is a rehashed R8, which I suspect is one of the reasons it didn’t go into production, although to be fair I don’t think it was intended to, it’s likely more of a true concept and lead into the design that came later with Taycan etc
