Used cars sold by the manufacturer tend to all come with warranties, some are many years long. They all have those “certified pre-owned” programs.

I don’t like him, but he’s obviously an excellent team boss given how long RB have been at the pointy end of F1. Often his whining his bang on too, which is why it’s a shame I (and others) have written off everything he says as whining.

Your analysis of the Renault/RB spat is way off. The conflict had nothing to do with Renault entering as a works team, it was that Red Bull felt the engine was a dog. They got the same engines as the Renault works team, and had it been the top engine in the field Red Bull would have been happy, as the Renault chassis

They’ve changed it recently and toughened up on surface rust. It’s pretty damn annoying (posting from the bathroom prior to dealing with rust under windscreen on my old hiace van)

As a non-US person I had no idea this was a real thing and wasn’t just an amusing phrase Ace Ventura made up.

Has anything he’s ever announced been on-time? I know we all moan whenever companies use phrases like “coming soon”, “quarter 3” and “within the next 2 years” instead of being more definitive, but I suppose the alternative is you become Tesla, the Tour de France of car companies.

I’d really need to see the maths on whether adding the weight necessary to make it worthwhile would in fact just cancel out the range gained, and create a paradox that would create a black hole and destroy us all.

Nah, the structure and placement is the same - look at the door handles, the cup holder, the centre console - they’re all the same size and location. The parts that have changed are nice, but they’re just updates to the existing interior.

The platform was good when it was introduced.....20 years ago. 2 decades. Technology and engineering have advanced massively since then. Putting new clothes and makeup on it doesn’t change the fact that this isn’t the new Z car we were hoping for.

Lots. Door handles, air vents, centre console, all these shapes and sizing/structure are the same. They’ve changed what goes on top, but they’re refeshed, not all new as suggested.

It’s a heavily facelifted 370z. As a former 350z owner (I really enjoyed it), the interior especially is basically identical, with limited updates suggesting a refresh rather than a new model.

The guy videoing this sounds like Mr Slave

I’m predicting this will now mean Renault will take over the Nissan FE entry, as part of their divorce and to reinforce their future in the mainstream vehicle market as it moves towards EVs.  Renault’s racing heritage will be welcomed in FE, they’ll get the exposure etc for their EV lines, and they can leave Alpine to

I haven’t really been following this except every time I see another post I think to myself “why go to Europe and buy a US vehicle for a roadtrip?”.

It’s why the wrangler sold down-under is a disgrace, due to its complete lack of modern safety features.

No it isn’t. They all use a version of the same carbon tub and a version of the twin turbo v8 based on the old Nissan design. These are not controversial statements.

I think it’s important to acknowledge that most sponsorship is about brand awareness rather than direct product advertising. It’s about trying to get the brand into your brain for later, not to get you to buy something as a result of seeing it on the car.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking I agree with you though. There were a bunch of ways to handle the situation that wouldn’t have resulted in someone being shot. I was just pointing out how the pit would have been part of what happened.....not that I think it was the right move.

I’m not making excuses, this trooper is obviously a pos who shot a black man like a racist coward, but the PIT was for running from the cops, not for the broken tail light.

Aussie Supercars manage to brake heavy cars into tight chicanes and deal with curbs just fine, NASCAR should try it
