It's convenient to have all of your games on 1 service.
And the features of Steam outweigh it's cons.

I've tried to get through the bore that is number 1, and after 3 different plays of getting half way through, i gave up all together.
Never played 2, or 2.5 or 2.75, or 3.

And fuck Ubisoft with their Uplay bullshit and Activation codes.
