Would you rather it look like another bland and uninspired grey and/or brownish colored fantasy world? :P

I think at least part of it comes from the universal hatred of trolls.

"Very amateur looking pixel art"

Episode 2 ending on one of the biggest, most unexpected cliffhangers in gaming just added fuel to the fire as well.

Most definitely. There's even a scene when you encounter snipers and the game warns you about them by having them snipe a crow.

Thank you, Pope of Humour, you may go back to your ablutions now.

What's funny is, I never once had a problem at that spot in Anor Londo. I've heard a lot of people hated that section, but it never got me. Other areas in the game though... yeeeeaaaaah, patience is your number one asset. I definitely agree with that.

I love how that game becomes second nature after you get the hang of

The only thing destructible about walls in GTA IV is that they destroy your car and send Niko through his windshield onto the sidewalk. Same thing with those little trees

Murder on a grand scale is fine, but a baptism of a fictional protagonist that merely alludes to Christianity is the deal breaker?

The game seems to have a HUGE case of mood whiplash, and I can understand the contrast really. Columbia is this Disney-fied microcosm existence that's hiding a very ugly underbelly beneath the surface, and your arrival triggers the explosiveness to where things go explicitly downhill. I love the game has the stop and
